The Transfiguration Maarten de Vos 1532-1603
The Transfiguration of Our Lord
February 11, 2024
We're thankful you've come here to watch our service and to worship the one true God!
This was another exciting Sunday at Pilgrim Lutheran Church! Once again, we had lots of great activities going on, starting with our Adult Bible study at 9:15 am, then our 10:30 am Worship service. Afterward, we gathered for food and conversations, while the children enjoyed Sunday School. These classes are full of activities and teaching, so the children learn how much God loves them!
If you live in the Burton area, please consider joining us on Sunday mornings! Anyone can watch our services live on Facebook or later on Pilgrim's website.
Here is information about today's worship service:

THEME FOR WORSHIP SUNDAY
In this the final Sunday in Epiphany, there are so many important insights and lessons God reveals to us! Here is one of them, found in the Gospel for today. We see God’s main action in His response to Peter’s frantic words, even though “he did not know what to say”. God says: “This is My beloved Son; listen to Him.”
For all those times we also choose to step into situations and take matters into our own hands, this is God’s answer for us, too. During our times of fear and frantic chasing after things, listen to Jesus through prayer, meditation and reading His word.
