“Doubting Thomas” Giovanni Serodine 1620s
The Second Sunday of Easter
April 24, 2022
We're glad & thankful you've come here to watch our service and worship the one true God!
This was another exciting Sunday at Pilgrim Lutheran Church! Once again, we had lots of great activities going on, starting with our 10:30 am Worship Service. Afterward, we gathered for food, conversations, and an adult Bible class, in which we're studying Revelation, one of the most fascinating books of the Bible. If you'd like to watch a video of this Bible Study, please contact Pastor Mark. We also have Sunday School for children of all ages, full of activities and teaching of God's love for them!
If you live in the Burton area, please consider joining us for any or all of these great events!
Here is information about todays worship service:

OUR THEME FOR WORSHIP
In today’s Gospel text we read the familiar account of Thomas, forever known for his initial doubting of Jesus’ resurrection. But Thomas only became well-known because he spoke his fear while so many others simply lived theirs. Mary, Peter and the others all doubted as well, but only Thomas is famous for his doubting!

How does Jesus respond to their & our doubting? In all these folks, and in my life also, I am so thankful that Jesus comes persistently and patiently to us, His doubting children. Then, now, and forever, Jesus remains the center of His story, even if we don’t always see Him. It’s all about Jesus, even when He is hidden from our eyes!
