OUR THEME FOR WORSHIP TODAY
The women came to Jesus’ tomb on the first Easter morning, full of confusion and fear from the events of the preceding days. From the joy of Palm Sunday to the horror of Good Friday, it is hard to imagine how confused and afraid they were. And then, finding the tomb open and empty and speaking to the angels? Wow! But the angels’ words changed their confusion and fear into faith and hope. “He is not here, but has risen.”
Our lives are also full of confusion and fear, as we gather at the empty tomb and give thanks and praise for Jesus’ resurrection. God’s words also speak to us today: He is NOW here! Jesus has risen!
