Pilgrim Worship Wednesday March 25, 2026

Pilgrim Lutheran Church

Wednesday Evening Prayer

March 25, 2026

We're thankful you've come here to watch our service and to worship the one true God!

If you live in the Burton area, please consider joining us on Sunday mornings and the rest of our Wednesday services in Lent!  Anyone can watch our services live on Facebook or on Pilgrim's website.

Here is information about this worship service:

SCRIPTURE READINGS
   Psalm:  Psalm 41
  Epistle:  Hebrews 2:1-12
  Gospel:  Mark 8:31 – 9:1

OUR THEME FOR WORSHIP
Jesus foretells His own betrayal, death, and resurrection in today’s text (Mark 8:31–9:1).  The events of next week are the final and most difficult chapter in Jesus’ life of suffering for us.  Today we focus on Jesus’ betrayal.  Jesus is betrayed for us, betrayed by us, and how does He react?
To suffering and betrayal beyond our imagination, Jesus reacts in love beyond our human capacity to understand.  Betrayed for us and by us, Jesus still loves you to the end!
