Pilgrim Worship Sunday November 2, 2025

Pilgrim Lutheran Church

The Feast of All Saints

November 2, 2025

We're thankful you've come here to watch our service and to worship the one true God!

This was another exciting Sunday at Pilgrim Lutheran Church!  We've returned to our regular Sunday schedule, starting with Adult Bible class at 9:15 am and then our 10:30 am Worship service.  Afterward, we gathered for food and conversations, while the children enjoyed Sunday School.  These classes are full of activities and teaching, so the children learn how much God loves them!

If you live in the Burton area, please consider joining us on Sunday mornings!  Anyone can watch our services live on Facebook or on Pilgrim's website.

Here is information about this worship service:

SCRIPTURE READINGS
  First Reading:  Revelation 7:9-17
             Psalm:  Psalm 149
            Epistle:  1 John 3:1-3
            Gospel:  Matthew 5:1-12

THEME FOR WORSHIP
Have you ever looked over a crowd of people and wondered about their stories, about what brought them together?  We might ask “Who are these people, and where did they come from?”  In today’s First Reading, a heavenly elder asked this question about the crowd gathered around Jesus’ throne, praising Him day and night.

In His “Beatitudes” sermon, Jesus climbs a mountain and looks out at the gathered crowd.  He sees them as lost sheep needing a Good Shepherd, and He teaches & gives them the way to eternal life.  Today, your great encouragement is this:  Jesus sees YOU in the crowd.  Jesus loves and cares for YOU!  Jesus makes YOU His saint!
