Good Friday Worship
April 18, 2025
We're thankful you've come here to watch our service and to worship the one true God!
Here is information about this worship service:
Old Testament: Isaiah 52:13 – 53:12
Psalm: Psalm 22
Epistle: Hebrews 4:14-16, 5:7-9
Passion Gospel: John 18 & 19
THEME FOR WORSHIP
Not much seems good for Jesus
on this Friday. Jesus is the main figure in this first great climax of
world history. God’s salvation plan to rescue His creation will be
completed with Jesus hanging lifeless on the cross. In the run-up to this
moment, the world around Jesus simply doesn’t know what to do with Him.
So many people, including you & I deny, dis-believe, minimize, attack
and ultimately kill Jesus.
Yet, despite all the temptations and attacks the devil throws at Jesus, He remains undeterred. Jesus obediently & willingly presses forward to accomplish His Father’s will and pay for your salvation. Because of Jesus, “good” is not nearly good enough to describe this Friday!
