Thursday Psalms: Live in God's Word!

There are few things more important to your life than reading, meditating and praying over God's Word!

Psalm  119:9-165

How can a young man keep his way pure?

      By guarding it according to Your word.

10 With my whole heart I seek You;

      let me not wander from Your commandments!

11 I have stored up Your word in my heart,

      that I might not sin against You.

12 Blessed are You, O Lord;

      teach me Your statutes!

13 With my lips I declare all the rules of Your mouth.

14 In the way of Your testimonies I delight

      as much as in all riches.

15 I will meditate on Your precepts and fix my eyes on Your ways.

16 I will delight in Your statutes;

      I will not forget Your word.

God's Word is central to everything.  It is your foundation for remaining pure & for guarding your life against the attacks from the devil, the world and your sinful nature.  We all are so prone to wander away from God, and His Word helps pull us back and keep us close to Him.  Memorizing God's Word stores it in your heart, ready for you to grab a verse and wield it like a sword in battle!  More valuable than all earthly riches or pleasures, God's Word fills you with all truly good things!

Let's challenge each other today:  make a new habit of Bible reading & meditation.  You'll be so blessed, strengthened and encouraged every time you remember God's Word!

Peace in Christ,
