The Twenty-third Sunday after Pentecost
All Saints Sunday
November 12, 2023
We're thankful you've come here to watch our service and to worship the one true God!
This was another exciting Sunday at Pilgrim Lutheran Church! Once again, we had lots of great activities going on, starting with our 9:30 am Worship Service. Afterward, we gathered for food, conversations, and Adult Bible study, while the children enjoyed Sunday School. These classes are full of activities and teaching, so the children learn how much God loves them!
If you live in the Burton area, please consider joining us on Sunday mornings! Anyone can watch our services live on Facebook or later on Pilgrim's website.
Here is information about today's worship service:
BIBLE READINGS FOR SUNDAY

OUR THEME FOR WORSHIP TODAY
In the earthly sense, to be made a saint is to be “recognized as having an exceptional degree of holiness, likeness, or closeness to God”. Today we make a special point of remembering all saints, especially those we know who have died in faith and gone before [ahead] of us to heaven. However, God’s Word is clear; it’s not the goodness of a person which makes them a saint. Jesus our Savior has redeemed us to God the Father, having taken God’s punishment of sins onto Himself. Jesus has made you holy, like and close to God. In fact, God the Holy Spirit lives IN you! We are all saints, forgiven and made so by Jesus!
