Lenten Vespers
March 1, 2023
We're thankful you've come here to watch our service and to worship the one true God!
This Lenten season, we will use the metaphor of eyesight to examine how the various people in Mark’s Gospel viewed Jesus during His Passion. In most cases, they misunderstood who He was and what He was doing. But then again, sometimes by faith people did recognize Him correctly.
Today, we'll consider Betraying Eyes, and examine the motives and means of Judas’s betrayal of Jesus. We’ll examine our own Betraying Eyes. And how does our Lord look upon us? Although we have betrayed and handed over our Lord, God has caused Holy Scripture to be handed over to us. Through His Word, we know all our sins are forgiven, because Jesus’ life was handed over to death for us.
If you live in the Burton area, please consider joining us for worship services every Sunday morning at 10:30 am, and on Wednesdays in Lent at 4 & 7pm!

Peace in Christ, who handed Himself over to death to save us,
