This week's edition of Thursday Psalms is a bit delayed due to back-to-back funerals at Pilgrim for Al and Theresa. Psalm 100 was a favorite psalm of Theresa, whose funeral was this past Thursday. It seems fitting to make Psalm 100 our Thursday Psalm this week; she and Al this week have both literally entered His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise!
Psalm 100
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into His presence with singing!
Know that the Lord, He is God!
It is He who made us, and we are His;
we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving,
and His courts with praise!
Give thanks to Him; bless His name!
For the Lord is good;
His steadfast love endures forever,
and His faithfulness to all generations.

Give thanks to Him; bless His name!
For the Lord is good;

and His faithfulness to all generations.
So I suggest you simply pause today, and bask in the goodness of the Lord, who is God, who is beyond good, who loves you forever! Visualize Theresa, Al and all the saints who have gone to heaven before you, who have already come into the Lord's presence with singing.
God assures us that this promise, the indescribable blessing of eternal life in heaven, is for you and me, too!
Thanks be to God, who has saved you & me!
